Due to the great need for stand-alone sources of energy on isolated islands, Fondation PlanetSolar has a project to set up a small solar installation on Easter Island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean by 2019. In particular, this is intended for a community which cleans the plastic waste off the island’s beaches. This project is being conducted in collaboration with the Race for Water Foundation.
