Continuous Commitment in Senegal
Initiated in 2019, our project in partnership with C.i.f.o.p. aims to develop the use of solar energy in Senegal through a training program designed to train solar installers. This initiative is designed to equip young Senegalese with the necessary skills to install and maintain photovoltaic solar systems, thereby facilitating the country’s transition to renewable energies.
In November 2023, an official inauguration ceremony marked the opening of the training center in M’boro, which welcomed its first cohort of twenty-three students. The presence of Roland Loos, Jean-François Affolter, and Raphaël Domjan highlighted the importance of vocational training in the energy transition and the PlanetSolar Foundation’s commitment to promoting solar energy in all regions of the world.
